Summer Kick-Off Camp

June 26-30 | 9am-1pm

(ages 5-11)

Enjoy daily themed camps, museum exhibits, and active play all week long at the Duluth Children's Museum!

Campers will engage in daily themed activities, play in museum exhibits, participate in games that will help grow their socio-emotional skills, and eat a snack/lunch with their camp group. Lunch and 1 snack/day are included with this camp's registration.

Monday: Things That Go!
If trains, balloon cars, stomp rockets, and paper airplanes sound like a fun time, then this is the camp for you! Kids will have the opportunity to interact with Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad Crew, and learn all about what makes things go!

Tuesday: Fun with Plants!
Mushrooms, and Plants, and Seeds, OH, MY! Learn from Zenith Mushrooms about what plants you can and cannot eat, plant in the DCM Courtyard, and take away plants and seeds to create your own garden at home!

Wednesday: Engineering for Kids!
Damage Boardshop is our cool community partner who will teach campers all about how skateboards work, how to take care of them, and work with us on designing, building and testing things that go!

Thursday: Know Your Noggin!
We have partnered with Safe Kids Minnesota to present a silly, yet educational look at how to protect your noggin! We will use eggs and other fun tools to teach kids the science behind helmet safety.

Friday: Animal Action!
If you love animals, you are going to love this camp! Kids will work with our community partners at Animal Allies to learn all about safety around animals. We will create animal masks, and even have the chance to examine skeletons and bones!
